Red wolves are smaller than the better-known grey wolves, and bigger than coyotes. They are lean, anywhere from 45 to 80 pounds, and have brown and black coats. Most of these wolves tend to be about 4 feet long, and have a similar appearance to a german shepherd. They can live in most North-American biomes.  (Red Wolf - Canis Rufus, 2019).
