Red pandas play an extremely important role in their environment. By eating bamboo shoots and producing waste to fertilize the ground the red panda helps plants in places like Langtang National Park in Nepal to grow (a place that is considered a primary resource for around 30,000 people.) By protecting the red panda we are also protecting its natural environment and we are allowing the forests that range from northern Myanmar to the west Sichuan and Yunnan Provinces of China, to perform their functions properly. Trees can help to combat global warming and ensure a healthy life for people who get to enjoy the many benefits of trees, including cleaner air and cleaner oceans.
