The Wildlife Crime Pillar under the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police reports that between 2008 and 2019 there were 102 seizures of red panda hides— six confiscated by authorities in Western Nepal and one in Kathmandu in 2019—and 170 people arrested in the country for trafficking.
