Adhesive: able to stick fast to a surface or object; sticky

Aquatic: growing or living in or frequenting water

Biodiversity: biological diversity in an environment as indicated by numbers of different species of plants and animals

Biome: a major ecological community type (such as tropical rainforest, grassland, or desert)

Ecosystem: the complex of a community of organisms and its environment functioning as an ecological unit.

Overexploitation: to exploit (something, such as natural resources) to an excessive degree

Perch: a small European freshwater bony fish (Perca fluviatilis of the family Percidae, the perch family)

Predator: an animal that lives by killing and eating other animals: an animal that preys on other animals

Rehabilitate/Rehabilitation: to restore to a former state (as of efficiency, good management, or solvency); the action of restoring something that has been damaged to its former condition

Replenish: restore (a stock or supply) to a former level or condition

Riparian: relating to or living or located on the bank of a natural watercourse (such as a river) or sometimes of a lake or a tidewater

Socioeconomic: of, relative to, or involving a combination of social and economic factors

Spawn:  to produce or lay eggs in water

Species: a group of animals or plants that are similar and can produce young animals or plants

Threaten: having an uncertain chance of continued survival

Victorian Flora: The Flora and Fauna Guarantee Act 1988, also known as the FFG Act, is an act of the Victorian Government designed to protect species, genetic material, and habitats, to prevent extinction, and allow maximum genetic diversity within the Australian state of Victorian for perpetuity

Waterways: a river, canal, or other route for travel by water

Wetlands: land or areas (such as marshes or swamps) that are covered often intermittently with shallow water or have soil saturated with moisture
