This website was created by the students of SEA-DISC, which is a program for juniors and seniors at Sir
Francis Drake High School in San Anselmo, California. SEA-DISC focuses on environmental science and
social justice, and through direct action, works to create change on both a local and broader scale. SEA-DISC
involves its students in meaningful projects that develop many critical skills through extensive field work and
hands-on laboratory experiences. Students learn about various important environmental issues, and are given
the resources to create their own solution to the problem, and implement it into the community around them.
This website is part of an endangered species project hosted by the SEA-DISC program. Students research,
study, and focus on a specific endangered animal, and create a website in order to spread awareness. The
students goal is to create a website which will share the problems which plague the specific animal, and create
easy solutions which the readers of the website can follow and implement into their everyday life.
