We Are the Problem and the Solution.

What Can YOU Do?

Here are some ways YOU can make a difference in conserving our friend the green turtle:

*REDUCE OCEAN TRASH

I need

YOUR HELP to survive!

*PROTECT ITS HABITAT

Ocean pollution, especially plastic, is a huge issue for green sea turtles. You can combat this issue by…

  • participating in coastal clean-ups

  • reducing your plastic use, especially single-use plastic

  • refraining from releasing balloons

Green sea turtle populations are dwindling due to habitat destruction and coastal development! Help out the green turtle by…

  • keeping nesting beaches dark and safe at night

  • removing recreational beach equipment after spending a day at the beach

  • avoiding the use of vehicles on sea turtle nesting beaches

  • avoiding disturbing nesting turtles, nests, or hatchlings

  • avoiding vacations at developments and resorts that do not support sea turtle protection

Climate change has a big effect on green sea turtles. The rising sea level results in destruction of nesting beaches, and the warm water creates difficult living conditions for the turtles. Help solve this problem by…

  • not eating beef

  • using green energy sources

  • composting and recycling

  • monitoring your carbon emissions

  • Find more ways to reduce climate change at https://www.drawdown.org

*SUPPORT ORGANIZATIONS AND GOVERNMENTS  THAT PROMOTE SEA TURTLE CONSERVATION

It is important to support organizations and establishments that are making positive change. You can do this in a variety of ways, including...

  • participating at events put on by conservation groups

  • donating to organizations that save the green turtle

  • voting for government officials and policies that value wildlife conservation

  • writing letters to government officials to preserve the Endangered Species Act and other laws that protect the green turtles

Take a good look at this baby green sea turtle. Are you really ready to watch the human race kill off this precious animal forever, never to return?

If your answer is no, ACT NOW.

There isn't much time left.
